Elements of Learning

Bambinos Kindergartens have groups of children: 0-2’s, 2-3’s, 3-4’s and 4-5’s.  We encourage each child to participate in group times that cater for their specific age group.

The group times are an organised way of further developing the children’s skills in all areas of their development.

Aside from organised activities Bambinos are firm believers that children learn all sorts of skills through play Children’s spontaneous play is documented and extended upon to ensure that the children are learning.

Bambinos kindergarten’s extend & develop children’s knowledge and skills by incursions such as library visits, fire brigade and police visits, and excursions such as visit to the local schools and Zoo.

Families are one of the most important influences on a childs development and thus should be provided with the opportunity to be actively involved in their child’s learning within the centre.

We believe strongly in inviting involvement from the parents and families and organising special days such as ‘Mums Day’, ‘Dads Day’, ‘Grandparents Day’, ‘Multicultural Day etc.

Bambinos Kindergarten have a School Readiness Program in place which encourages the pre-school children to develop the necessary skills to be ready for ‘Big School’ We work closely with local schools to familiarise the children with routines, and the school environment.

All children have their own portfolios that get added to as the year unfolds.  These portfolios consist of art work, photos and observations of the child's time at the centre. and are great to look back on as they contain so many memories of the children’s early years.  Parent teacher interviews are planned twice a year.
