Staff Levels

The staff / child ratio at childcare centres is widely regarded as one of the major indicators of Quality care.  It is with this in mind that the staff / child ratio at Bambinos Kindergarten exceeds the Nationally Accredited Standard, as are the skills and qualifications of our carefully selected team.

Food & Nutrition

All Bambinos kindergartens employ their own fully qualified cook and meals are prepared fresh on the premises each day.

At Bambinos we encourage children to learn good eating habits and provide a range of foods for children to try from all countries of the world.
Our menu rotates over 4 weeks and is based upon the Nutrition Australia Guideline.

• Breakfast is provided from 7am-8.15 Cereal such as Weetbix, toast
   
• Morning Tea is served at 9:30am- children are given freshly cut fruit accompanied by, crumpets, Pikelets etc.
   
• Lunch is at 11.30-12noon - children are made a nutritional meal such as Chicken Casserole Rice and mixed vegetables
   
• Fresh fruit and yoghurt are served as desert.
   
• Afternoon Tea is at 3:00pm- children are offered a sandwich and cut fruit
   
• Late afternoon Tea 5.15pm – Children provided with an afternoon snack such as freshly cut fruit and vegetable sticks.
   

Children at Bambinos are encouraged to engage in discussions about healthy eating and meal times are treated as a learning experience. Whilst eating the children are further developing fine motor skills, mathematical skills, language skills and social skills.
