Childcare and preschool in Harrington Park, NSW

Bambino’s Fairwater offers long day care and a preschool program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, conveniently located for families in Harrington Park, Narellan Vale, Smeaton Grange, Gregory Hills, Kirkman, Narellan and Oran Park.

Three large natural outdoor spaces

Children can explore three large outdoor spaces designed for all age groups, featuring a climbing fort, a sustainability yard and enchanting fairy gardens. These areas give children room to connect with nature, develop creativity and enjoy active outdoor play every day.

Eight thoughtfully designed indoor rooms

Indoors, eight active rooms are each designed with age-appropriate activities and resources that support learning through play. The spaces give children opportunities for creative, sensory and play-based experiences suited to their age and stage throughout the day.

Large and long-standing educator team

Bambino’s Fairwater has a large and dedicated team, including long-term educators who have been with the centre for over ten years. This depth of experience brings consistency, familiarity and strong relationships to children and families across every room.

Individual Learning Plans

Individual Learning Plans are developed in partnership with families and used to guide learning around each child’s strengths, interests and goals. Educators draw on these plans to shape experiences that suit each child’s needs and stage of development.

Government-approved Preschool program

Our Government-approved Preschool program is delivered by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher and prepares children for the transition to school. Children build skills and confidence through play-based learning, routines, friendships and growing independence.

Rugby league, sports and movement

Children take part in rugby league lessons run by community members, introducing them to teamwork and physical fitness. A dedicated sports program for preschool children builds fundamental movement skills and supports physical wellbeing throughout the week.

Nutritious meals each day

Children enjoy freshly prepared meals and snacks each day, with our on-site chef delivering a rotating seasonal menu of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. Dietary, cultural and individual requirements are all catered for.

Family communication and app updates

Families stay informed and involved through clear and consistent communication, including centre newsletters, one-on-one meetings and events throughout the year. Day-to-day moments and learning experiences are shared through our family app, giving families a simple way to stay connected with life at the centre.

"Often, I find that children have just as much to teach me as I have to teach them. This reciprocal relationship inspires my teaching style, where curiosity, respect, and exploration guide our days."

I began my journey in early childhood education in 1997 and joined Bambino’s Fairwater team in 2004. Over the years, I’ve worked in a range of positions, which has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of guiding and mentoring educators. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been supporting the next generation of educators – those who will shape the futures of countless children. I’ve always loved building strong relationships with children, families, the community, and my team, and these connections are the heart of what I do.

Throughout my career, I’ve learnt that children are powerful learners in their own right. They are the leaders in their learning journey, and my role is to support and extend their thinking. Often, I find that children have just as much to teach me as I have to teach them. This reciprocal relationship inspires my teaching style, where curiosity, respect, and exploration guide our days. To me, being part of a child’s early years is a privilege. This is the foundation of a long life journey, and I’m proud to play a role in shaping confident, capable individuals.

Families are a vital part of this journey. While learning begins at home, attending a dedicated early childhood education and care centre provides a rich and diverse environment for children to thrive. We work closely with families to create continuity between home and the centre, and we invite families to share their cultures, values, and interests with us to enrich everyone’s experience. Communication, trust, and respect are the foundations of these relationships, and I ensure that each family feels heard and supported, whether through online platforms, emails, phone calls, or face-to-face conversations.

The team here at Bambinos Kindergarten Fairwater are passionate, committed, and genuinely here for the children. Every day, they bring enthusiasm and care to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. I’m proud to lead a team that shares a deep commitment to early education and works together to bring out the best in every child.

I look forward to welcoming your family to Bambino’s Fairwater early education centre in Harrington Park.

Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Harrington Park, our play-based curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn through play, exploration and discovery.

Sustainability

We have recycling bins for the children to use. Our sustainability yard allows children to actively participate in maintaining the garden through tasks like watering plants and weeding, fostering a sense of responsibility. We also practise reusing items whenever possible, ensuring that furniture and resources are repurposed rather than discarded if still in good condition.

STEM

Educators introduce open-ended materials and invitations to explore, such as building, measuring and experimenting. Through shared conversations and investigation, children develop curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Music and movement

Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. It is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood.

Social and emotional learning

Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships.

My eldest started in 2020, and we have always been very happy with their care. All the staff who have cared for both of our children over the years have been caring, considerate and fantastic educators. The centre has always been clean with great hygiene practices, as well as always being well organised and well equipped. Both children are excited on drop off and are always happy when I pick them up! Alana is a fantastic centre manager, and I highly recommend Bambino's Fairwater to all parents looking for a warm, welcoming and nurturing centre!

See more I have a background in childcare so my standards for care is quite high. I have moved both my kids a few times as I have always found an issue with each centre, from hygiene standards to educational content standards. The level of care both my sons receive from Bambinos Fairwater is outstanding. We have been here for a few months now and I have not looked back once! The staff are incredible, the standard of cleanliness is phenomenal and the education they provide my son going into big school next year is brilliant! I have to fight my kids for a kiss and a hug goodbye because they are just so excited to go!

Our previous experiences when I drop her off, was constant crying and latching onto me not wanting to go. As she transitioned and the crying stopped, she still didn't look forward to going to daycare. However, at Bambinos, the last 3 days, we had no crying and no latching onto me. She has had the best 3 days and watching her educators update the App has put me as a mother at more ease. My little one becomes excited when I am getting her ready for school and looks forward to her day. The centre overall is super clean, hygienic, the staff are impeccable & lovely and their policies/procedures and curriculum is amazing. So worth it!!! So happy to be apart of this centre & cannot wait to see my little one progress more.

Frequently asked questions

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Learn more about our Settling-in Program.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

Bambinos Childcare and Kindergarten uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Bambinos Childcare and Kindergarten is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
