### Centre Manager

- *
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)

"I’m passionate about providing children with engaging, nurturing environments where they feel safe to explore, create, and discover."

I began my early childhood education journey in 2001 as a Lead Educator in a preschool room. I loved the joy and energy that young children brought to each day, and I quickly discovered how rewarding it was to help them grow in confidence and independence. Over the years, I’ve worked in a range of roles both locally and internationally, which has shaped the way I lead and connect with my team and community. I joined G8 Education in 2019 as an Area Manager before settling into my current role in 2023. I’m passionate about providing children with engaging, nurturing environments where they feel safe to explore, create, and discover. There’s nothing quite like watching a child light up when they learn something new. It’s a privilege to be part of that journey.
I believe that learning should be full of joy. Children should smile, laugh, and feel excited to come each day. I want every child in our care to build strong, trusting relationships with our educators and feel confident to be themselves. Through play-based learning, we help children develop important life skills like problem-solving, communication, and resilience. These are things that are harder to replicate at home. A dedicated early childhood setting provides not only tailored learning experiences but also rich social interactions and structure that prepare children for school and beyond.
At Bambino’s Scarborough Park early learning centre, I’m proud to work alongside a passionate and experienced team of educators and teachers, many of whom have been with the centre for five years or more. We work closely together to ensure every child receives the highest quality care and education.
When families first visit, I take the time to understand what they’re looking for in their child’s early learning experience. I’m committed to building strong, open relationships with all our families and making sure they feel supported throughout their journey with us. While children may grow up and forget the details of their time here, I want the memories parents hold to be filled with warmth, trust, and pride in the care we’ve provided.
I look forward to welcoming your family to our early education centre.

### Educational Leader

Master of Teaching

"Collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement are central to the way I teach and lead."

I joined the Bambino’s team in 2017 as a Lead Educator. Over the years, I have worked across all age groups and more recently have led the Senior Preschool room, where I have focused on supporting school readiness, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. I also proudly serve as the centre’s Educational Leader. In this role, I mentor educators through one-on-one guidance, supporting them with programming, meaningful observations, learning environments, critical reflection, and pedagogy.
My approach to teaching is soft, calm, and supportive, creating a space where children feel confident, respected, and inspired to explore. I believe every child’s individuality should be celebrated, and I strive to build a learning environment that nurtures curiosity, wellbeing, and a genuine love of learning. Collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement are central to the way I teach and lead.

### Early Childhood Teacher

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)

"I have a deep passion for creating learning environments that are engaging, diverse, and meaningful for children."

I began my journey at Bambino’s in 2015. After completing my teaching placement here, I continued on as an educator and later stepped into the Lead Educator role in 2017. I have also worked as an Educational Leader, a position I truly valued as it allowed me to mentor and support other educators in their planning, teaching, and reflective practices.
I am known for my calm and nurturing nature, and I have a deep passion for creating learning environments that are engaging, diverse, and meaningful for children. I have worked across all age groups within the centre and pride myself on being a clear and compassionate communicator with both children and families. Building strong and trusting relationships is at the heart of my teaching philosophy, and I feel privileged to be seen as a respected mentor and a positive influence within our centre community.

## Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Monterey, our play-based curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn through play, exploration and discovery.

#### Sustainability

Children develop respect for the environment through gardening, recycling and nature-based learning. Educators also introduce the interconnected aspects of sustainability, including environmental, social and economic, through concepts like fairness, sharing and community.

#### STEM

Educators introduce open-ended materials and invitations to explore, such as building, measuring and experimenting. Through shared conversations and investigation, children develop curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

#### Music and movement

Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. It is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood.

#### Independence and life skills

Children develop autonomy, interdependence, resilience and a sense of agency through meaningful participation in everyday routines, such as preparing snack, caring for plants, and tidying shared spaces.

At our Monterey early learning centre, children benefit from the NSW Start Strong program as part of our enhanced preschool offering. The program focuses on school readiness through play-based, child-centred and provocation-led learning experiences.

Delivered by a team of 4 university-qualified Early Childhood Teachers, the program supports each child’s development through Individual Learning Plans, with a focus on early literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional skills. Children also participate in weekly soccer and pottery classes – the latter taught by one of our teachers, who holds a Master’s degree in the Arts. Our RAMSR program uses music and rhythm to support self-regulation and school transition. We proudly partner with local councils to enrich children’s learning, including Reconciliation Week with Bayside Council and incursions with Sutherland Council covering Surf Safety and how to call 000.

In this room, children are encouraged to:

- Develop school readiness skills through play-based, child-centred and provocation-led experiences
- Build early literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional skills with support from Individual Learning Plans
- Participate in weekly soccer and pottery classes as part of the extracurricular program
- Use music and rhythm through the RAMSR program to support self-regulation and school transition
- Engage with community partners through events like Reconciliation Week and council incursions

We couldn’t be happier with Bambino’s Child Care Centre. Our two kids, aged 2 and 4, absolutely love going there each day, which says everything as a parent.

The educators are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children. They’ve created such a safe and nurturing environment where both of our kids have grown in confidence, social skills, and independence. It’s clear they take the time to understand each child individually and support their development in a really positive way.

We also really appreciate the communication from the centre — we’re always kept up to date with how our kids are going, what they’re learning, and any special moments throughout the day.

It gives us real peace of mind knowing our kids are not only well cared for, but also happy and excited to be there. We highly recommend Bambino’s to any parents looking for a supportive, friendly, and professional child care centre.

Having worked in childcare myself across different centres, I can honestly say that Bambino’s stands out for all the right reasons. The educators are professional, caring, and incredibly supportive of both the children’s and families needs.

I’ve seen my daughter thrive in their care she’s grown in confidence, skills, and happiness thanks to their daily programs and thoughtful inclusion of excursions and incursions. A special mention to Nadene, one of the best directors I’ve ever met always warm, welcoming, and so knowledgeable about CCS and everything childcare-related.

I truly appreciate all the love and effort the team puts into creating such a nurturing, fun, and educational environment. Highly recommend Bambino’s to any parent looking for a centre that genuinely feels like a second home.

Our kids (5&3) love this centre, their educators and friends. Its a really lovely inclusive environment and they have flourished here. Nadeen, the centre manager really takes the time and effort to make the kids feel welcome when we arrive of a morning and remembers and asks about things happening with them which they both always look forward to. They both really love their educators and the different themes rotating in the rooms, as well as the effort put in to celebrating special days too. They are also very flexible with settling the kids in when they are having a hard morning and want to be together which is much appreciated. The kids often ask to go even when it isn't one of their days, and they do have casual days available which is very helpful for me as a freelancer, to use when jobs pop up at the last minute. As a parent I have appreciated the accommodating flexibility that has provided. Would highly recommend.

## Frequently asked questions

##

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. [Click here to book a tour online.](/book-a-tour)

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

##

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

[Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.](/family-information/how-to-enrol)

##

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

[Learn more about our Settling-in Program.](/family-information/settling-in-program)

##

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

##

Bambinos Childcare and Kindergarten uses Xplor Home as our [family communication app](/family-information/family-communication). It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

##

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Bambinos Childcare and Kindergarten is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
